The British-Georgian Academy Theatre Company participated in the 2023 Junior Theater Festival for the third time this year with a new licensed production, Aladdin Jr..
This international festival is held annually in Birmingham, UK by Broadway Jr. Our visit this year was truly memorable – it ended in great success! The British-Georgian Academy troupe received one of the 4 nominations from the jury composed of Broadway actors, the “Achievement in Ensemble” award..
However, that’s not all! Two of our students were also selected for the All-Star team. They received individual workshops from Broadway actors, after which they participated in an independent performance on the big stage of the Junior Theatre Festival..
These awards and recognition are especially proud because the festival is mainly attended by various theater schools from Europe and America. The British-Georgian Academy has presented Broadway-licensed musicals to Georgian audiences on several occasions: Peter Pan Jr., Susical Jr., and Alice in Wonderland Jr..
