The British-Georgian Academy is a private secondary school authorized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, which was founded in 2006. Our goal is to provide students with the best quality education that will prepare them for the challenges of the 21st century.
The British-Georgian Academy is guided by the national curriculum established by the Georgian state, while autonomously determining curricula and teaching methodologies.
All employees of the Academy are distinguished by high ethical standards. Each of us is aware of the responsibility that comes with interacting with children. It is the responsibility of each of us, within the framework of individual competence, to contribute to the creation of a safe and comfortable environment, where all members of the Academy school community are given equal opportunities for development.
Our modern campus, spread over 15,000 sq m, is located above the city of Tbilisi, near Lake Lisi. The design of the Academy building took into account modern elements of architectural planning, which allows for innovative teaching and learning methodologies.
In the academic building, around the inner courtyard, spacious classrooms equipped with modern standards are located, which create a dynamic environment for learning and teaching. Special spaces located on the perimeter of the building support students in group, spontaneous and creative work. Such spaces include: science laboratories, technological science and art rooms, multifunctional Einstein spaces, which are specially designed for both individual and group work. The information technology and communication infrastructure equipped with modern equipment, which includes portable and stationary computers, tablets, interactive whiteboards and projectors, provides students with a diverse experience in the field of technological sciences.
The spacious hall, corridors and other informal spaces of the administrative building provide a very comfortable opportunity for socialization between students, parents, academic and administrative staff and contribute significantly to the development of the British-Georgian Academy school community.
The library is a wonderful environment for students and teachers to search for books and learning resources, work on academic electronic resources, read and study in a quiet environment, and work on individual or group projects.
Students and staff have the opportunity to enjoy their meals in the peaceful surroundings of the cafeteria, which offers panoramic views of Lake Lisi and the surrounding mountains.
Large-scale sports and green spaces, which include a swimming pool, gym, multifunctional basketball, tennis, handball, all-season artificial turf football and rugby fields, create an extraordinary environment for promoting a healthy lifestyle and developing teamwork and leadership skills among students.
Various interactive spaces and playgrounds located outdoors provide unlimited opportunities for creative thinking. These spaces include various types of vehicles for elementary school children, trampolines for each level of student – playgrounds for rollers and skates, as well as spaces for water and sand activities.
Access to Lake Lisi is a wonderful opportunity for the school to conduct sports activities and field training events.
We strive for excellence both in and out of the classroom, and we develop in our students qualities such as curiosity, perseverance, independence, humility, and kindness.
