The British-Georgian Academy offers transportation services to students using specially designed school buses that meet all safety standards. The transportation service is intended for students from grades 1 to 12 who live in the central part of Tbilisi and pay an additional transportation fee. Preschool education center students who have an older sister or brother can also use the school’s transportation service. The transportation service price includes travel from the student’s destination to school and back. In case of additional payment, transportation services can also be provided to students who live far from the central districts of Tbilisi. Boarding of students from the destination begins at 7:45. Boarding time depends on the bus route and the location of the boarding point. Buses leave the school at 16:30, after the end of extracurricular activities. Upon request, an early transport service may be provided for students living in the Vake and Saburtalo districts, departing from school at 3:30 p.m., immediately after the end of the academic day. Parents can choose an early or late transport service at the beginning of the school year. The British-Georgian Academy’s 10-30 seat buses are designed specifically for school students and are equipped with safety standards, including individual seat belts, rigid seat backs, emergency exits, fire extinguishers, first aid kits and a 360° mirror for the driver. The buses also have special flashing lights and a restraining sign that is activated when a child boards and alights from the bus. The bus drivers have undergone special training in emergency situations. In addition, a special camera monitors the safe boarding and alighting of each student.
