BGA student’s success at the UCMAS National Championship

Demetre, a fourth-grade student at the British-Georgian Academy, took second place at the UCMAS National Championship held in Tbilisi. The championship was held for the first time this year and 120 talented students competed against each other in demonstrating their mental arithmetic and abacus skills. The participants of the competition completed about 200 tasks in 8 minutes.

The program has been operating in Georgia for over 5 years and brings together students aged 4 to 14.  Its goal is to develop arithmetic, concentration, memory and logical thinking skills in children from an early age. British-Georgian Academy UCMASis one of our partners and more than 100 of our students are undergoing the mental arithmetic program..

Congratulations to Demeter and we wish you much success!
