British-Georgian Academy is looking for the Supply Chain Specialist to join our Procurement and Assets Management Department. The aim of the position is to oversee and ensure proper flow of the supply chain; the process from ordering materials all the way to product deliverance.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing inventory, ensure stock accuracy, handle occasional customs-related tasks, support procurement practices and oversee warehouse management. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to a dynamic team while gaining valuable experience in supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management
- Monitor and manage stock levels to ensure optimal inventory.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to maintain accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
- Update and maintain accurate inventory records in the system.
Warehouse Management
- Oversee the receipt and distribution of items within the warehouse.
- Ensure that items are accurately tracked as they come in and are distributed among
- school employees.
- Maintain organized and efficient warehouse operations.
Customs Handling
- Assist with customs documentation and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Coordinate with customs authorities and freight forwarders as needed.
Procurement Support
- Participate in the procurement process, including sourcing and evaluating suppliers.
- Assist in the preparation of purchase orders and contracts.
- Track and expedite orders to ensure timely delivery.
General Support
- Assist the Head of Procurement and Asset Management with various related tasks as needed.
- Provide support in data analysis, report preparation, and other administrative duties.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field;
- Prior experience in inventory management, supply chain, procurement or warehouse management would be an advantage.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
