British-Georgian Academy is looking for the Head of Security. The main aim of the role is to
develop and implement security, health and safety policies, protocols, and procedures to
ensure the safety of the company's employees, assets, and facilities. Oversee the security operations team and provide guidance, support, and training as needed.
Key Roles:
- Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance
equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry. - Developing and implementing security policies, protocols and procedures;
- Oversee security personnel;
- Attending meetings with other managers to determine operational needs;
- Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events;
- Surveys and related issues related to security violations;
- Risk assessment/management and control;
- Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and
surveillance activities. - Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
- Maintains organization’s stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
- Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements;
following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques. - Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Regularly update a crisis management plan, procedures and policies for such events
in liaison with BGA Principal; - Be aware of all the regulations connected with school safety specifications;
Safeguarding:
- Be aware of all child safeguarding procedures.
- Ensure that security staff are trained in at an appropriate level in child
safeguarding.
Training and professional development:
- Ensure training takes place with reference to safety and security for all security
staff. - Ensure own self-learning and professional development on safety and security
practices. - Stay current with any changes in local regulations or international best practice.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience on the same role (experience in the same field would be
an advantage); - Good knowledge of English;
- Good knowledge of Safety Regulations and Standards;
