BGAs STEM club had some Halloween and Physics related fun last week with the Van de Graaff generator. The Van de Graaff generator is an electrostatic generator that uses a moving belt and a hollow metal globe to accumulate charge. Students took turns charging their hair or being shocked with small bolts of lightning just like Frankenstein’s monster! The STEM club is a cross curricular club where students have the opportunity to explore the connected areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
